The trails climb through primary cloud forest — moss-wrapped trunks, bromeliads, tree ferns — with the kind of quiet that makes every distant call or rustle in the canopy impossible to ignore. White-faced capuchins and mantled howler monkeys move through the same territory, often spotted straight overhead.
